Yes, Back Mountain Makery is a licensed B.Y.O.B. establishment that hosts dedicated paint & sip sessions as well as flexible, casual options for a fun evening out with friends. The studio features a variety of ways to experience a paint and sip night:
🍷 Open Paint Fridays & Saturdays (Casual B.Y.O.B.)
- What it is: A relaxed, walk-in friendly event held every Friday & Saturday from 12:00PM to 8:00PM.
- How it works: You walk in, select a pre-fired ceramic piece, and paint at your own pace. Acrylic paints and topcoats are used, meaning no kiln or waiting is required — you take your piece home that day.
- The B.Y.O.B. Perk: Guests are welcome to bring along their favorite drinks and snacks.
- Pricing: There are no additional sitting, paint, or palette fees. You only pay the price marked on the ceramic piece, with many starting at $18.
- Tip: Seating is not guaranteed for walk-ins, so reservations are highly recommended by calling 570-468-2719.
🎨 Scheduled Paint & Sip Workshops
- Guided Classes: The studio regularly collaborates with local resident artists to host structured, step-by-step painting classes.
- Diverse Mediums: Instead of just standard canvases, these instructor-led workshops often feature unique surfaces like wood decor, live-edge wood pieces, and seasonal glassware.
- B.Y.O.B Policy: Alcoholic beverages are permitted for adults of legal age during these adult workshop hours.
🍾 Private Paint & Sip Parties
- If you want to host a private bachelorette party, girls’ night, or birthday, you can secure the studio room for a flat $50 fee plus the cost of the project per person.
- You can supply your own alcohol, drinks, and catering, and the guest of honor crafts for free.
You can browse the current schedule of upcoming guided paint nights directly on the Back Mountain Makery Workshop Calendar.
